As we close out 2020 and start to think about 2021, the People & Capability (HR) team here at Fisher & Paykel Appliances recognise the need to resource the team to ensure we are supporting the business to hit the ground running. To support that, we are on the lookout for an experienced Administrator to support general HR and Recruitment activity for the next 12 months.
This is a diverse, yet pivotal role in our team, newly created as a result of spending some of 2020 challenging the way we work, the systems we use, and simplifying our priorities so that we are an effective support unit to the business. We are in the middle of some significant systems changes, and will benefit from an experienced, methodical administrator who loves a good process, get a thrill from providing a high standard of customer service, and can rapidly switch from one task to another in any given moment.
We aren't specifically looking for someone with Payroll or HR experience, but that would help. This isn't a 'stepping stone' role into a career in HR, or at least we aren't viewing it that way - however we aren't averse to it either. Your HR or Payroll may well have come as a small part of a broader role as an Office Manager or PA. What's critical is the ability to juggle priorities, manage stakeholders expectations and gaining a deep sense of satisfaction from successful execution of a range of people related processes. A week or month in the life of this role could include:
- Internal promotion of vacancies across the business via email or Yammer
- Creating role requisitions in our applicant tracking system
- Supporting new hire documentation
- Supplier invoice management
- Support in coordinating the new starter 2 day onboarding experience
- Quarterly talent review coordination
- Process documentation
