Our client is a manufacturer and exporter of components and products that are used by international customers in their own end-products or systems for the agriculture sector. They have long standing relationships and a reputation for technical excellence that has seen them become global market leaders.
The Sales Manager is tasked with understanding the current requirements of these customers and where necessary asking for technical expertise to provide a solution. You will also expand business within existing customers by problem solving current “pain-points” and creating new opportunities by thinking deeply about the customer’s business.
You will be experienced in international sales, particularly with larger customers and ideally geographically across Asia and America. You will understand what good account management looks like and employ a disciplined sales process. We are also looking for someone who is commercial and who searches for margin improvement rather than selling on price. If your background is running a trading desk then this isn’t the role for you. An affinity with the agricultural sector would be an advantage as would someone who enjoys a team environment.
