We are seeking a full-time Field Technician to join our team at Ravensdown in the Middle South Island region, ideally based between Christchurch and Ashburton. This position involves working closely with our customers in the farming community to collect and prepare soil and crop samples from their farms for testing, make chemical deliveries, and more. This role is a great opportunity for those looking to begin their career with Ravensdown in the new year - we can be flexible with the start date, working towards February 2021.

About the Role

In this role, you will focus on providing exceptional customer service as you be the link between our shareholders and our sales team to carry out follow-ups, complete soil testing, herbage testing, and crop walking. You'll also need the desire and the ability to pick up our computer system and administrative processes. Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Empathy, understanding, and technical knowledge of the agricultural sector
  • 6-12 months experience in the industry
  • Reasonable physical fitness
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work unsupervised and work well with others in a team
  • Have an excellent attitude and work ethic
