The Role
Due to a retirement we are looking for a top notch sales engineer who will be the lead point of contact between the business development and research and development teams. Reporting to the general manager sales and marketing, you will be a great communicator who is able to present highly technical information effortlessly and simply.
You will be providing technical support, and liaising with industry bodies, representing the company on various technical committees. Day to day you will be responsible for developing quotations and client proposals, including some direct client contact. A sound understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD software and a background in either chemical engineering or product design will ensure your success in the role.
Self-motivation is important, as is a willingness to travel.
Requirements
As well as a qualification in science or chemistry, ideally, you will have
  • Proven experience in a technical sales environment
  • A highly conceptual and problem-solving ability
  • Commercial acumen
  • CAD capability
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • A high standard of personal presentation and motivation to succeed
  • The right to work in New Zealand
  • A current NZ drivers’ licence
The Benefits
A generous remuneration package including salary, company vehicle, laptop and phone will be offered to the successful candidate. The vehicle is likely to be upgraded to a hybrid model by the end of 2021.
