Allied Press is locally owned media company, proudly publishing the Otago Daily Times, The News – Central Otago, odt.co.nz as well as host of other publications and products over the South Island.
We are looking for a Distribution Assistant, capable of juggling multiple tasks in a busy environment. Experienced in handling administrative deadlines while managing customer and circulation enquiries would be a strong advantage and excellent attention to detail and accurate typing skills are required. As this role will handle internal and external communications, excellent customer service skills are essential, as are high professional standards of written and spoken English.
The main purpose of the position is to provide support to the distribution and circulation teams and to maintain effective and efficient systems for delivery of company publications and to work closely with the company’s customers and contractors.
Some of the key accountabilities include:
Providing various administration tasks related to all our distribution manual, contracts, timesheets, delivery routes and customer support
- Working closely with the circulation team, delivery staff, contractors, members of the customer service team, accounts department, and general office duties
- Familiar with Microsoft word and excel with the ability to learn new software
