Omya is a producer of industrial minerals, mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite, and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. Calcium carbonate from their Te Kuiti operation in New Zealand is used by major industry partners in glass and packaging manufacture. Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader (Sydney based), this role is responsible for the creation and processing of orders in SAP; inventory checks; invoicing; liaising with customers, suppliers, warehouses and production staff, resolving enquiries; maintaining accurate CRM and price information. Working from the Te Kuiti site from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, you will be responding to enquiries from New Zealand and Australia.

You will be an active team player who thrives on problem solving, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. A background in manufacturing or a related industry would be ideal and preferably some exposure to ERP systems. Your friendly, organised approach and commitment to accuracy and follow-through will ensure you easily meet or exceed the company’s values (modesty, courtesy, integrity and perseverance).We are seeking candidates with:
- Minimum 3 years’ customer service experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution
- Recent experience with SAP
- Sound computer skills MS365
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Attention to detail
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
