What will you be doing?
We will be honest; this is a busy role and we are looking for someone extra special to fill this one! Your main goal is to ensure our very productive CEO is able to maximise the use of her time. So we're looking for someone who can think ahead, prioritise and juggle the CEO's jigsaw puzzle of a diary as well as triage enquires and be able to know what our CEO needs before she does.
In this highly visible senior EA role, you'll be relied upon for your maturity and agility in finding solutions with a no flustered approach. You'll also put your leadership skills into action to motivate your small team of two and provide mentorship and guidance to the EA group Council wide.
There is no typical day, but you can expect to be challenged and supported as your role connects you to a wide variety of people from colleagues, leadership team, elected members, central government agencies and other community stakeholders.
What do we need from you?
To shine in this role we need you to show us that you have exceptional communication and organisation skills and you'll likely come to us with a number of years' experience as a PA/EA under your belt already. As well as being a dedicated EA, you will also be confident in preparing agendas for Council committee meetings, formal minute taking and drafting/proofreading reports. A working knowledge of local government will give you a great advantage and while full support and training in our systems will be provided, you will need to be highly digitally literate and very confident using computer software programmes with a thirst to learn new skills.
