The Balclutha team has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and adaptable reporter to join them at the Clutha Leader and Otago Daily Times office. As a member of our Balclutha newsroom you will work on wide range of stories and features, covering the full gamut of hyper-local, community and breaking news.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter possessing:
Excellent writing ability with a keen interest in news and storytelling, both in print and online.
- A high degree of personal responsibility and initiative.
- The ability to progress multiple parallel tasks and meet regular deadlines
- Photography, video and social media/web skills are valued.
- A relevant journalism qualification (or equivalent experience) would be viewed favourably.
A clean, full NZ driving licence is essential. This full-time role includes rostered evening and weekend work shared within the team.
